Your floor already runs on a system. It's just in your servers' heads.
CheckBackTap makes it a shared one. Every table has a tag. Every tap — seated, greeted, order in, food out, a check-in — is a timestamp. Every guest request goes into a pool any free hand can grab, not just the one server who happens to walk by. Nothing depends on memory anymore.
Built for people moving fast, not sitting at a desk
This is a staff-side tool, not a guest app. Guests never scan or tap anything — your team does, the same way they already move through a shift. That means it works on day one with zero change in guest behavior, and it's the foundation a guest-facing layer can sit on top of later, once you want one.
No table left unchecked
Every table has a running clock since its last check-in. If it runs out, the table becomes an unassigned task any manager or host can pick up — never a mark against the server who was simply slammed.
Requests, shared
A refill, a fork, a sauce — logged in one tap and dropped into a shared pool. Whoever's free claims it, makes it, and delivers it. Both the maker and the deliverer get credit.
The report writes itself
Seat-to-greet, greet-to-order, order-to-food, check frequency, response time — broken down by hour, day, and staff member. You see exactly where the floor slows down, and who's doing the most to keep it moving.
How It Works
Every table gets a small NFC tag. Staff tap it as they move through the normal service cycle — nothing new to learn, just a tap where you'd already be standing.
Seated
A host taps the table's tag the moment a party sits down. That starts the table's clock.
Greeted & Order In
The server taps the same tag on arrival, and again once the order's placed. Two timestamps, two of the numbers that actually show where a shift is losing time.
Food Out & Ongoing Checks
Food arrives, gets logged, and the table settles into a repeating check-in loop — each tap resetting the clock, so a table never sits forgotten.
Requests, Claimed by Anyone Free
Mid-check, a guest needs something? One tap logs it into the shared pool. Any free server, host, or manager claims it, makes it, and confirms delivery — right at the table that asked.
If a Check Runs Late
A missed check-in becomes a neutral, unassigned task a manager or host can absorb — never displayed as a personal failure, just the floor helping itself stay on top of things.
